Our 3HP 220v SawStop table saw features a 52″ T-Glide system and a built in Sawstop Router Table complete with dust collection.
The Sawstop came in a ton of boxes, but all in all assembly was fairly straightforward and only took about an hour and a half. Everything was neatly packaged and the instructions were for the most part complete and easy to follow.
Once we had it set up and ready to go it started cutting through even the thickest of our slabs with minimal effort. Nice clean cuts and it was a huge upgrade from our old ryobi contractor table saw for sure. The built in safety features make it an ideal fit for maker spaces, schools, and businesses with insurance concerns. Even for the small garage shop nothing beats the peace of mind that comes with the unparalleled safety sensors.
The one downside is that you need to be sure to disable the safety sensors before cutting wet or pressure treated wood or you might accidentally trip the sensor. Each time the sensor trips you need to replace the cartridge which runs about $100 a pop so its very cheap in comparison to losing a finger, but adds up if you forget to disable it when you are cutting a wet board. Since the safety brakes need to be replaced each time it trips I would recommend keeping a spare handy for just in case.
