Cancellation and Refund Policies

Makers Workshop strives to offer quality educational programming at affordable pricing and as such the following cancellation and refund policies are in effect.

 

1 Day Workshops

Makers Workshop does not offer refunds or store credit.  After signing up for a class if for some reason you need to cancel your enrollment we will offer you a one time rescheduling opportunity if notice is provided in writing at least two weeks before your scheduled class or event to Enrollment@makersworkshop.com

We do not reschedule if written notice is not provided before the two week notification period ends.  At this point we finalize classes that are running and schedule instructors, there will be no exceptions to this policy.

In the rare case that Makers Workshop needs to cancel a workshop due to circumstances such as low enrollment or inclement weather the student will be issued a full refund for the class.  In the event of inclement weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of Makers Workshop and Closings will be posted in the top banner of our homepage as well as on our facebook page.  It is the students responsibility to check if a workshop is closed due to inclement weather.  If Makers Workshop is open and holds the class and a student decides not to attend the regular cancellation policy will be in full force and effect and no refunds or rescheduling opportunities will be provided. 

Multi-Week Workshops, Summer Programs, and School Vacation Programs

If you have enrolled for a class and need to cancel your enrollment for any reason we will offer you a one time rescheduling opportunity if notice is provided in writing at least two weeks before your scheduled class or event to Enrollment@makersworkshop.com.

In the event of inclement weather, cancellations are at the sole discretion of Makers Workshop and Closings will be posted in the top banner of our homepage as well as on our facebook page.  It is the students responsibility to check if a workshop is closed due to inclement weather.  In the case of after school programs our schedule allows for 1 make up day to be added to the end of the session before the next session starts.  In the rare event that more than one day is cancelled in a single session due to weather no refunds, credits, or make up days will be offered and Makers Workshop will not be held responsible for classes that do not run for reasons outside of our control.

After School Programs and Other Off-Site Programs

If you have scheduled a class and need to cancel your class for any reason including low enrollment you can cancel the class with no penalty if notice is provided in writing at least two weeks before your scheduled class or event to your Makers Workshop contact person or to Enrollment@makersworkshop.com.

If notice of cancellation is made within the two week period before the class starts Makers Workshop will access a $250 cancellation fee to be paid by the booking organization.  At this point we finalize classes that are running and schedule instructors, there will be no exceptions to this policy.

Classes can not be cancelled after the first day of class.  If the school or booking organization decides to cancel a class after the first day of class they will be responsible for the deposit amount based on the initial enrollment for the class equal to 50% of the estimated final bill.  Makers Workshop requires a minimum of six (6) students to run a class and the deposit will be equal to or greater than that amount unless other arrangements were made in writing before the first day of class.  Makers workshop will prorate the balance payment to reflect changes in enrollment for the second half of the class as long as the total number of students enrolled remains above the minimum number of students required to run the class, the school will be responsible for the first half of the class for any students that drop the class as materials have already been purchased and assigned at this point.  No exceptions will be made to this policy.

In the rare case that Makers Workshop needs to cancel a workshop, class, or program due to low enrollment or any other unforeseen reason the school will be issued a full refund for any amount paid minus classes that already happened.

In the event of inclement weather, cancellations are at the sole discretion of Makers Workshop and Closings will be posted in the top banner of our homepage as well as on our facebook page.  If the school or booking organization is open and the Workshop deems it unsafe for instructors to travel to off site programs the school will be notified by Makers Workshop by noon of the day in question.  In the case of after school programs our schedule allows for 1 make up day to be added to the end of the session before the next session starts.  In the rare event that more than one day is cancelled in a single session due to weather no refunds, credits, or make up days will be offered and Makers Workshop will not be held responsible for classes that do not run for reasons outside of our control.

Gift Shop and Holiday Pop Up Shop 

All sales are final, no returns or exchanges.  No exceptions.
